A holistic evaluation of Nearly Zero Energy Buildings
The IsZEB Certify is an online platform that includes specialized software packages for assessing the energy performance and smart readiness of a building infrastructure.
The computational tool is fully aligned with current national and European legislation and incorporates new concepts and technologies, offering a holistic and innovative approach.
Capabilities:
• Calculation of the energy performance and energy classification of a building, using the computational engine of TEE KENAK, for the issuance of Energy Performance Certificates (EPC).
• Issuance of a calculation report for the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) of a building, based on the existing calculation methodology of the European Union.
• Building assessment in accordance with the IsZEB Standard and its certification by specialized engineers of our team. The awarding of the IsZEB mark aims at upgrading intelligence, energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings throughout their entire life cycle.
Official Approval – Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy
The IsZEB Certify EPC application has been positively evaluated and approved as a suitable tool for conducting the relevant calculations by the General Directorate of the Body of Inspectors and Auditors of the Ministry of Environment and Energy – Approval No. 15486/1109-11/02/2026.

Software for calculating the energy classification of a building for the subsequent issuance of an EPC, fully integrated with the TEE-KENAK calculation engine and fully aligned with K.EN.A.K. and the applicable T.O.T.E.E.
Designed for modern energy inspectors and engineers, the computational tool organizes the process into distinct and clear work levels, ensuring accuracy, speed and full compliance with the institutional framework.

The process is organized into the following distinct levels:
- Building profile: Entry of general information. Option for automatic completion from XML files, and the ability to import & recognize BIM/IFC files.
- Building envelope: Entry of geometric & thermophysical characteristics. Use of ready-made libraries of material characteristics.
- Building systems: Entry of characteristics of electromechanical systems. Option for automatic completion from BIM files and dedicated forms for calculating technical MEP parameters.
- Results: Issuance of XML, PDF files with calculations of energy classification, energy requirements and consumptions, and techno-economic analysis.
- Improvement scenarios: Development and assessment of alternative energy upgrade scenarios.
Approved tool – Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy
The new online tool for Energy Inspectors, approved by the Ministry of Environment and Energy (Approval No. ΥΠΕΝ/ΣΕΒΕ/15486/1109/11-02-2026).
Software for calculating the Smart Readiness Indicator of buildings (Smart Readiness Indicator – SRI), fully aligned with the official European methodology (https://energy.ec.europa.eu).
The assessment process is organized into distinct stages, ensuring accuracy, transparency and flexibility.
- General information: Entry of general information and basic characteristics of the building under assessment, selection of existing technical domains, selection of the calculation method.
- Systems: Definition of the operating level and the corresponding score for each service, per technical domain.
- Results: Export to PDF of the detailed calculation report for the SRI, with diagrammatic representation of the results. Comparative assessment of the existing situation and the proposed alternative improvement scenarios.
- Improvement scenarios: Development and assessment of alternative scenarios for improving the SRI of the building under assessment.
The building assessment software under the IsZEB Standard is an integrated digital tool for the implementation of the IsZEB Methodology and the certification of Smart Buildings with Zero or Positive Energy Balance.
It was developed with the aim of providing a holistic, objective, and technically documented evaluation of a building’s energy performance, intelligence, and overall quality throughout its entire life cycle.
Holistic Assessment Approach, Beyond Energy Consumption
The software incorporates National and European standards and regulations, while also expanding the scope of evaluation with additional technical levels that ensure modern conditions of operation, comfort, safety, and environmental responsibility, taking into account the applicable national regulatory framework.
