Zoi Boutopoulou
Coordinator
Zoi Boutopoulou is the Coordinator of IsZEB DIH. She is an Electrical Engineer alumni from the Polytechnic School of DUTh. She has experience in research projects on energy and electromobility. She has worked as an engineer in the Department of Studies and Project Implementation of CERTH, managing the CERTH 2.0 project, with the aim of successfully submitting a funding proposal of €33 million, for the development of innovative research and technology infrastructures, emphasizing the adoption of bioclimatic design principles, taking into account all pillars of sustainability (ESG). She has been appointed as the Head of Energy Infrastructure and Facilities at CERTH, with the goal of reducing energy consumption and aligning with national and European climate targets.
Katerina Manolopoulou
Marketing Manager
Katerina Manolopoulou is the Marketing & Communications Manager of IsZEB. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Economic Sciences and an M.Sc. degree in Informatics and Management. She has experience in the industrial/commercial sector as a Marketing Executive. Currently she is responsible for: the development, execution & monitoring of annual marketing plans, the organization & coordination of events (Exhibitions & Corporate events), below-the-line communication plans, design and implementation of digital marketing strategies, website & social media plan, management & content creation (printed & digital), development of brand strategies, performance evaluation & generation of reports.
Afroditi Zamanidou
EU Project Manager
Afroditi Zamanidou is the Project Manager of IsZEB for the EU-funded research projects. She holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering (AUTh) and a MSc in Law & Engineering for Energy (AUTh). She is also a PhD student in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering of UoWM. She has been a researcher (2019-2022) in the Chemical Process & Energy Resources Institute of CERTH. As part of her doctoral thesis at the University of Western Macedonia, she participates in numerus European research projects on smart energy systems during decarbonization. Her scientific interests are in the field of decarbonization of energy systems, the application of deep machine learning models and the prediction and optimal management of energy. Since 2016 she has been working as a Civil Engineer participating in several private projects.
Christina Mykoniou
R&D Project Management Associate
Christina Mykoniou is a Research and Development Project Management Associate of IsZEB and a Project Management Associate of the EU-funded research projects. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master’s degree in Earthquake Engineering Design. She is an Energy Performance Certificate Assessor, holds an individual study degree from the competent Ministry of Infrastructure and has more than 10 years of working experience. She has dealt with preparing (architectural, static, electromechanical) studies for public and private projects, as well as with coordinating tasks regarding the onsite operations. She has participated in several studies of energy upgrades of public building blocks and specializes in project management, consulting, development of computational tools and writing technical guidelines in the field of Smart and Energy Efficient Buildings.
Pinelopi Valiouli
EU Projects Research Engineer
Pinelopi Valiouli is a project management Associate of the EU-funded research projects. She holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (AUth) and an MSc in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development (Dept. Civil Engineering Auth). During the last 5 years she worked as a research assistant in the field of improving the energy efficiency of public buildings at the University of Western Macedonia. She has also worked in the field of mechanical engineering studies for public and private projects at Construction & Technical Companies in Thessaloniki. Her key activities focus on Energy Auditing in buildings, EPC assessments, Heat and Cooling Demand studies and improvement of Energy Performance of buildings.
Evangelos Sakalakis
Research Assistant
Evangelos Sakalakis is a programmer and research assistant of IsZEB's European research projects. He is a graduate of the Informatics department of AUTH, majoring in "Networks - Communications and Systems Architecture". During the last 2 years he has researched the Privacy of 5G networks, thus completing his thesis. Additionally, he served as a member of the Research & Informatics directorate, during his military service.
Vasiliki Strapatsa
Administrative & Advisory support
Vasiliki Strapatsa is responsible for the Administrative & Advisory support of IsZEB. She graduated from the Economics Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a specialization in Development and Programming and holds a master's degree in banking and finance (MSc in Finance and Banking) from the International University of Greece (IHU). For the last six years she has worked in the private sector in a European program management organization in the finance department. Her responsibilities included the monitoring of the budget, the writing of reports as well as the accounting and administrative support of the department.
