Asterios Tzirgas is the Coordinator of IsZEB. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering (AUTH) and a Master’s degree in Energy (HWU). He is a Qualified National Energy Auditor, an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Assessor and a Member of Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) entitled as a Certified Energy Auditor (CEAI). He has more than 10 years Greek and International experience in engineering, consulting and project management in energy, energy efficiency and business sector supported by strong academic and professional qualifications. His key activities focus on the building sector, mainly on Energy Auditing In Buildings and Industrial Sector, Implementation of building regulations according to Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, EPC assessments, Energy efficiency & Energy management consulting in public and private sector.
Katerina Manolopoulou is the Marketing & Communications Manager of IsZEB. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Economic Sciences and an M.Sc. degree in Informatics and Management. She has experience in the industrial/commercial sector as a Marketing Executive. Currently she is responsible for: the development, execution & monitoring of annual marketing plans, the organization & coordination of events (Exhibitions & Corporate events), below-the-line communication plans, design and implementation of digital marketing strategies, website & social media plan, management & content creation (printed & digital), development of brand strategies, performance evaluation & generation of reports.
EU Project Manager
Dimitra Tsirigoti is the Project Manager of IsZEB for the EU-funded research projects. She holds a Diploma in Architectural Engineering (AUTh) and an MSc in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development (Dept. Civil Engineering AUTh). She also holds a PhD from the Department of Civil Engineering of AUTh. She has been a Post Doc researcher (2016-2022) in the Laboratory of Building Construction and Building Physics of the Department of Civil Engineering A.U.Th. having received several scientific excellence grants. She has also been an adjunct lecturer at the University of Patras (2016-2022) teaching sustainable design, energy efficiency of buildings and building construction related courses. She has participated in 8 European research projects and actions. Her scientific interest is in sustainable architecture, urban morphology and energy efficiency of buildings and urban areas. She has been working as an architect for more than 18 years having also participated in several national architectural, urban and landscape design competitions where she has been awarded for her architectural work.
R&D Project Management Associate
Mr. Dimitrios Zenginis is an R&D project management Associate of IsZEB. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in structural engineering. During the last 5 years he was worked as a research assistant within the energy efficiency of buildings domain at the Departments of Civil Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Oslo Metropolitan University. He has also worked as a structural engineer for both Greek and German companies. His main activities focus on the use of smart and advanced technologies within the building sector in order to improve buildings’ smart readiness and energy efficiency.
Administrative & Advisory support
Christina Dimitriou is the leader of the financial department of IsZEB. She is responsible for providing administrative and advisory support and utilizes her extensive experience in financial and accounting monitoring, budgeting, banking and financial resource management. Christina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a specialization in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Energy and Finance from the International Hellenic University of Greece. She has more than five years of experience working in the private sector as the finance manager for technical-construction companies based in the energy sector.
EU Projects Research Engineer
Pinelopi Valiouli is a project management Associate of the EU-funded research projects. She holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (AUth) and an MSc in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development (Dept. Civil Engineering Auth). During the last 5 years she worked as a research assistant in the field of improving the energy efficiency of public buildings at the University of Western Macedonia. She has also worked in the field of mechanical engineering studies for public and private projects at Construction & Technical Companies in Thessaloniki. Her key activities focus on Energy Auditing in buildings, EPC assessments, Heat and Cooling Demand studies and improvement of Energy Performance of buildings.
Evangelos Sakalakis is a programmer and research assistant of IsZEB's European research projects. He is a graduate of the Informatics department of AUTH, majoring in "Networks - Communications and Systems Architecture". During the last 2 years he has researched the Privacy of 5G networks, thus completing his thesis. Additionally, he served as a member of the Research & Informatics directorate, during his military service.
