WHO WE ARE

IsZEB - A new cooperative formation for the Construction Sector

At IsZEB we are working towards the combination of ICT technologies with Energy Solutions in order to establish Smart Building Energy Certificates, that leverage existing and new technologies such as the Energy Performance Certificates and the Smart Readiness Indicators, as well as a guide of best practices on the creation, operation and maintenance of Smart Zero and Positive Energy Buildings. 

 

Our goal is to interconnect science, innovation and the economy, with all stakeholders in the construction and renovation sector of buildings, with regards to the criteria of Smart Zero and Positive Energy Buildings. Established in the region of Central Macedonia, the cluster includes the leading Greek companies and authorities in the field.

Based on the triple helix “Industry – Research Institution – Public Association” we provide various services including R&D, Ecosystem Development and Innovation Management. The multi-sectorial and multi-cultural team of IsZEB has all the necessary skills in order to run successfully any project. The expertise of the founding members ranges from the development and exploitation of emerging technologies, to product and services commercialization, covering many sectors including Research, Energy, Informatics, Constructions, Building Materials, Automation Systems, Security, etc.

nZEB Smart Home: A testbed infrastructure

The nZEB Smart Home is an active liaison between research and the markets, acting as a driving force for empowering market-oriented stakeholders with innovative digital solutions. 

 

As a fully operational rapid prototyping & novel technologies demonstration infrastructure, it resembles a real domestic building where users can experience actual living scenarios while exploring various innovative smart technologies.
