IsZEB participates as a partner in the Western Macedonia Digital Innovation Hub SYNERGiNN EDIH (SYNergy – enERGy – iNNovation), which supports small and medium-sized enterprises and public organizations in their digital and green transformation. The hub operates in the fields of Energy and Environment, utilizing advanced digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Data Analytics. The members of SYNERGiNN have expertise and experience in areas such as: (i) smart grids, (ii) predictive maintenance, (iii) process optimization, (iv) energy management services, (v) Industry 4.0, (vi) circular economy and bioeconomy, and (viii) smart city applications. The headquarters of the SYNERGiNN hub will be located in a 1,000-square-meter building in Kozani, which belongs to the University of Western Macedonia.
Within the framework of its participation in SYNERGiNN EDIH, IsZEB contributes to the provision of education and training services, enhancing the digital skills of professionals and organizations and supporting the adoption of innovative digital solutions.
The project provides services such as digital maturity assessment, Test Before Invest, skills development and training, support in accessing funding, and networking within the innovation ecosystem.
The SYNERGiNN EDIH project is co-funded by the European Union and the “Competitiveness 2021–2027” Programme.

The primary objective of the Action «Collaborative Clusters for the Promotion of Innovation in Local Entrepreneurship» is to support the establishment or upgrading of the operation of innovation collaborative clusters for the promotion of innovation in local entrepreneurship, which is achieved, indicatively, through: a) the joint use of facilities and equipment, b) the development and strengthening of cooperation networks with the Region's ecosystem and broader value chains in Greece and abroad, c) the transfer of know-how and the exchange of knowledge and information between research bodies – organisations and enterprises of the Region.
The IsZEB Collaborative Cluster, certified as a Digital Innovation Hub, promotes innovation and digital technologies in the construction sector. With its multifaceted corporate structure, IsZEB has worked methodically to establish its tools and know-how as a point of reference in the RCM, offering integrated services that enhance the competitive advantage of partner companies. In its new phase through the proposed investment, it aims to broaden the channel of communication and cooperation in local entrepreneurship, facilitating through its tools and services the transition to a more sustainable and digitally mature era for the buildings in which we live and work. Particular emphasis is placed on the accessibility of all stakeholders to technological tools, so as to ensure that both small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as larger companies, will be able to adopt new technologies.
Through this specific Action, five new research projects/tools will be produced with their respective deliverables, which will contribute to the digital and sustainable transition of the construction sector, enhancing know-how and technology transfer to local enterprises.

The Project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The monitoring of the implementation of the approved projects is carried out by the Intermediate Body (IB) – EFEPAE, in accordance with the legislative framework governing the implementation of the NSRF 2014–2020.
