Smart, Energy-Efficient and Sustainable Buildings: Innovative Applications and Digital Tools in the Service of the Engineer
With great success, the technical event titled "Smart, Energy-Efficient and Sustainable Buildings: Innovative Applications and Digital Tools in the Service of the Engineer" was held on Monday, 27 April 2026 at the Amphitheatre of TEE/TKM (Technical Chamber of Greece / Central Macedonia Department).
The event was organized by the IsZEB DIH Cluster, in collaboration with FIBRAN and under the auspices of TEE/TKM, drawing the interest of engineers, energy inspectors, and professionals from the construction sector.
The seminar was opened with welcoming addresses by the President of TEE/TKM, Mr. Ilias Pertzinidis, as well as the former President of CERTH (Centre for Research and Technology Hellas), Dr. Dimitrios Tzovaras.
The aim of the event was to present modern digital tools and innovative technological solutions that support the holistic assessment of buildings, their energy upgrading, and the improvement of their overall functional and environmental performance.
During the event, the following were presented:
- the IsZEB Certify digital tool, which enables the combined assessment of the smartness and energy performance of buildings;
- the IsZEB Hygrothermal digital tool, for the analysis and modelling of the hygrothermal behaviour of building components;
- a case study on the energy and functional upgrading of buildings in accordance with the requirements of the IsZEB Certify and IsZEB Hygrothermal tools.
The seminar concluded with a panel discussion, in which representatives of companies with high expertise in the energy sector took part, highlighting through a substantive dialogue the challenges and prospects of the energy transition and the digital evolution of the building sector.
IsZEB DIH continues to actively support the transition towards a smarter, more digital, and more energy-efficient built environment, offering innovative tools, specialized know-how, and training services to professionals in the sector.
