Five new research projects by IsZEB Cluster for the digital and sustainable transition of the construction sector

IsZEB is entering a new phase of development with the implementation of the project "Innovative digital solutions for the sustainable development of the built environment". Through this project, five new research projects and computational tools will be developed, aiming to transfer know-how and technology to businesses in the construction sector across the Region of Central Macedonia.

With a diverse partnership scheme of 17 members, IsZEB has established its tools and expertise as a point of reference in Central Macedonia. In this new phase, it aims to broaden the channel of communication and cooperation with local businesses, so that small and medium-sized enterprises as well as larger companies can adopt the new technologies.

The five new research projects

1. IsZEB Certify SRI. Predictive analysis, techno-economic recommendations and scenarios for improving the energy performance and smart readiness of buildings.
2. IsZEB Certify LCA. Advanced Life Cycle Assessment for sustainable buildings.
3. IsZEB Hygrothermal. Advancement of interactive smart insulation systems.
4. AC2DC charging converter. Design and implementation of an AC2DC charging converter.
5. GIS & BIM integration. Integration of Geographic Information Systems with Building Information Modelling, as a tool for the transformation of construction projects.

Funding

The project is implemented under the Action "Collaborative Clusters for the Promotion of Innovation in Local Entrepreneurship" and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and by national resources, through the Programme "Central Macedonia 2021-2027".
